Beau-Rivage Geneva, Luxury hotel in Geneva, Switzerland
Beau-Rivage Geneva is a hotel along the lakefront that occupies six floors and offers rooms with views of the water and the city. The accommodations include 52 rooms and 43 suites, furnished with classic pieces and light fabrics.
The building was designed by architects Antoine Krafft, Jean Franel, and Alfred Olivet and welcomed its first guests in 1865. Since then it has remained open throughout European history, even during wartime.
The name honors the waterfront location where guests have gathered on terraces and in salons for over a century and a half. Today travelers from around the world meet here, drawn by the refined setting and French-influenced cuisine.
The building sits directly on the promenade of Lake Geneva, just a short walk from the old town. Most rooms are accessible by elevator, and staff can assist with special needs.
Some suites preserve ceiling paintings from the 19th century that were restored during renovations. The top-floor suite offers a private outdoor area with a whirlpool and direct view of the lake.
