Poudre River Public Library District, Public library network in Larimer County, Colorado.
The Poudre River Public Library District is a public library network serving northern Larimer County through multiple branch locations. Each location offers books, digital collections, computer access, and educational programming for residents.
The library system began as a small collection on South College Avenue in Fort Collins in the late 1800s. In 1903, it received its first dedicated building thanks to a grant from Andrew Carnegie.
The library system hosts the annual Fort Collins Book Fest, where readers meet authors and participate in discussions about regional writers and themes. These events bring the community together around shared reading interests.
The library network is accessible at multiple locations including branches in Old Town, Harmony Road, and Front Range Village. Each branch provides free access to books, digital resources, and computer stations.
The Harmony Library branch operates as a joint-use facility in partnership with Front Range Community College. This arrangement allows both public and academic library services to share the same building.
