The facility opened its gates on September 28, 1968, serving as the home field for Colorado State Rams until its final game in 2016.
Named after coach Harry Hughes and later adding Sonny Lubick to its field name, this stadium represented Colorado State University sports traditions.
The stadium location at 5,190 feet elevation created specific conditions for athletes performing during games and training sessions.
During its last renovation in 2005, the facility received additional club seats and luxury suites to enhance the spectator experience.
