Forney Transportation Museum, Transportation museum in Denver, United States
The Forney Transportation Museum contains over 800 transportation artifacts including vehicles, locomotives, aircraft, carriages, bicycles, and vintage apparel from different periods.
Established in 1961, the museum started with a single 1921 Kissel automobile and expanded into a comprehensive collection of transportation vehicles and equipment.
The museum preserves the Union Pacific Big Boy Steam Locomotive 4005, which traveled one million miles before retirement and represents American railway engineering.
Located in Denver County, the museum opens Monday through Saturday from 10 AM to 5 PM and Sundays from noon to 5 PM with admission rates of $17 for adults.
The collection includes Amelia Earhart's 1923 Kissel Gold Bug automobile and an 1817 Draisenne Bicycle, representing early transportation innovations.
