Blue Mountain Vineyard, Family winery in Okanagan Falls, British Columbia, Canada.
Blue Mountain Vineyard sits on the shoreline of Vaseux Lake in Okanagan Falls, producing a range of wines including Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Gamay Noir, and sparkling varieties. The property covers enough land to grow different grape types suited to specific spots across the estate.
The Mavety family first planted vines here in 1971, initially selling their grapes to other producers in the region. They eventually began making and bottling their own wines under the Blue Mountain name, transforming the operation into a complete winemaking estate.
The name comes from the blue hue of the surrounding mountains visible under certain light conditions. Visitors experience how the landscape, water, and vineyard blend together to shape the character of the place.
Visits are by appointment only, allowing you to sample wines in a private setting at your own pace. Plan ahead and contact the winery to arrange your visit.
Different spots across the property experience distinct temperature and soil conditions based on their position relative to the lake and surrounding hills. This natural variation allows each grape variety to be grown in its best suited location.
