Arriva Towers, Residential skyscraper in Victoria Park, Calgary, Canada
Arriva Towers is a residential building in Victoria Park, Calgary, standing 128 meters (420 feet) tall across 34 floors that house 181 units. The structure features glass and steel finishes with sandstone accents, while its ground level contains commercial spaces for restaurants, medical offices, and professional services.
Construction of this building began in April 2005 and was completed in November 2007 as the area's first major residential tower development. The original master plan featured two additional towers, but financial restructuring changed the course of the broader development project.
The structure integrates modern residential architecture with the historical character of Calgary's Warehouse District through its material selection and design elements.
The building sits in an easy-to-reach location with shops and services at street level accessible to the public during daytime hours. The structure is primarily residential, so visitors should be mindful that internal areas are private spaces.
The original master plan was far more ambitious and included two towers reaching 42 stories and 163 meters in height. These larger aspirations never came to fruition due to financial restructuring that reshaped the wider development vision.
