The Goldbelt Tram carries passengers from the cruise ship docks up Mount Roberts in Juneau. The aerial cable car climbs about 1,800 feet and provides access to hiking trails and facilities at the summit.

The tramway opened in 1996 as a partnership between Mount Roberts Development Corporation and Goldbelt Corporation. The venture proved immediately popular with visitors arriving by cruise ship to the region.

At the summit, the Chilkat Theater shows a film about the local Alaska Natives, and Raven Eagle Gifts sells Native crafts. Outside the main building stands the Stephen Jackson totem pole, a modern rendition of traditional Native themes. Forest paths from the summit carry trees with totemic carvings depicting Native legends.

The tram runs from May to September, with two 60-passenger cabins moving in unison on a common haul rope. The ride to the summit takes six minutes and climbs 1,745 feet at up to 10.2 m/s. The summit terminal stands on a roughly 50-metre steel tower, and wheelchair-accessible paths lead from the facilities.
