Powder King Mountain Resort, Ski resort in Pine Pass, British Columbia, Canada.
Powder King Mountain Resort is a ski area located in the Northern Rockies with 925 acres and 37 trails across its terrain. The vertical drop from base to summit reaches approximately 640 meters (2100 feet).
The resort began operations in 1965 under the name Azu Ski Village and gradually expanded with additional lifts and facilities over the following years. By 1983, it had become known as Powder King Mountain Resort.
The ski runs feature names inspired by Beatles songs, including Octopus's Garden, Abbey Road, and Good Day Sunshine. These playful names reflect the mountain's character and make exploring the terrain more enjoyable for visitors navigating the slopes.
Three lifts serve the mountain to access different sections: a triple chairlift to mid-mountain, a T-bar reaching the summit, and a surface lift at the base for beginners. The lift system is straightforward to navigate across the terrain.
The resort receives approximately 13 meters (41 feet) of natural snow annually, ranking fourth in North America for snowfall volume. It operates entirely without artificial snow-making, relying solely on natural conditions.
