Traffic Bridge, Steel truss bridge in Saskatoon, Canada
The Traffic Bridge spans 289.8 meters across the South Saskatchewan River, connecting Victoria Avenue to 3rd Avenue South and Spadina Crescent.
The 2018 Traffic Bridge replaced the original 1907 structure, which was the first vehicle bridge in Saskatoon and closed in 2010 for safety reasons.
The bridge design maintains connections to local heritage through architectural elements that mirror the appearance of the 1907 original structure.
The bridge accommodates vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists, providing essential transportation links between different sections of Saskatoon throughout the year.
During construction, each steel component underwent precise measurements and testing to ensure the bridge would withstand Saskatchewan's extreme temperature variations.
