Exelberg

The Exelberg rises 516 meters above sea level in the Vienna Woods region of Lower Austria, featuring dense beech forests along its slopes.

The mountain gained recognition in 1899 when it became the location for the first Exelberg race, marking the start of motorsport activities in the region.

Local residents maintain a strong connection to the mountain through regular hiking activities and outdoor gatherings throughout the different seasons of the year.

Multiple hiking trails connect to the summit, with the main path from Klosterneuburg extending 20.55 kilometers and including an elevation gain of 570 meters.

A 109-meter telecommunications tower stands at the peak of Exelberg, serving as a technical facility while also functioning as a regional navigation landmark.
