Parkapartments am Belvedere, Residential complex near Belvedere Palace, Vienna, Austria
The Parkapartments am Belvedere contains five towers with 342 apartments and a hotel, elevated eight meters above ground on concrete columns.
The development emerged on the former Südbahnhof railway station site in 2010, transforming the area into new residential districts including Quartier Belvedere.
Renzo Piano's first Austrian project incorporates design elements reflecting the surrounding parks, with columns resembling tree trunks from Schweizergarten.
The residential units range from 46 square meters upward, each featuring outdoor spaces through terraces, balconies, or loggias with modern facilities.
The buildings start nine meters above street level, allowing residents unobstructed views over the treetops toward Vienna's central landmarks.
