Parkapartments am Belvedere, Residential complex near Belvedere Palace, Vienna, Austria
Parkapartments am Belvedere is a residential complex with five towers located on the south side of Vienna's center. The 342 apartments and hotel sit elevated eight meters above ground on concrete columns, creating an open space beneath.
The complex was built starting in 2010 on the site of the former Südbahnhof railway station as part of transforming the old rail area into residential neighborhoods. This development marked the beginning of major urban renewal that reshaped the southern surroundings of Belvedere.
The complex takes its name from the nearby Belvedere Palace and sits within a landscape shaped by surrounding green spaces. The supporting columns are designed to evoke tree trunks, creating a visual link to the parks that frame the buildings.
Apartments start at 46 square meters and feature private outdoor spaces such as terraces, balconies, or loggias. The location offers good access to public transportation and lies within easy reach of parks and Belvedere Palace.
The buildings rise nine meters above street level, offering residents and visitors unobstructed views above the treetops toward Vienna's central landmarks. This elevated position creates an unexpected cityscape perspective from within a residential setting.
