Suada and Olga bridge is a concrete road structure spanning the Miljacka River and linking central Sarajevo across the waterway. The design includes separate vehicle lanes and wide pedestrian walkways on both sides for safe crossing.
Originally named Ćirišhana Bridge, it was renamed in 1999 to honor two victims who died at the start of the Sarajevo siege. The dedication marks the beginning of the city's conflict and civilian suffering.
The bridge honors two young women from different ethnic backgrounds, symbolizing unity and shared memory across communities. Visitors and locals recognize it as a place that represents connection between people divided by circumstance.
The bridge is centrally located and easily accessible from both sides, with plenty of space for different types of traffic. Pedestrians and cyclists should stick to designated pathways to cross safely.
