Cathedral of Jesus' Heart, Gothic Revival cathedral in Stari Grad, Bosnia and Herzegovina

The Cathedral of Jesus' Heart features two 43.2-meter bell towers, a marble altar, and detailed stained glass windows depicting biblical narratives.

Construction of the cathedral commenced in 1884 under architect Josip Vancaš, drawing inspiration from Notre-Dame in Dijon, and reached completion in 1889.

The cathedral hosts religious ceremonies in multiple languages, representing the diversity of Sarajevo's Catholic community through its architectural and artistic elements.

Visitors can access the cathedral daily to explore its Gothic Revival architecture, marble altars, and attend regular mass services throughout the week.

The cathedral's organ, manufactured by Heferer Company of Zagreb, contains mechanical tractions with multiple manuals and distinct sound registers.
