Sitakunda Upazila

Sitakunda Upazila is an administrative region in Chattogram District with diverse terrain ranging from coastal areas to elevated hills. The landscape includes paved roads, semi-paved routes, and railway connections that link settlements across the territory.

The region was established as a Thana administrative division in 1979 and gained Upazila status in 1983, reflecting changes in local governance structures. This reorganization recognized the area's growing importance and need for improved administrative management.
