Ramsagar National Park

The 27.76-hectare park features a central water reservoir measuring 1079 meters in length and 192.6 meters in width, with red-yellow clay soil composition.

Raja Ram Nath commissioned the construction of Ramsagar tank in the 18th century, employing 15 million workers at a cost of 30,000 Taka.

The park maintains records of 272 plant species, including mango, jamun, tamarind, and marking nut trees, which hold significance in local traditions.

A staff of eight members, including forest officers, gardeners, guards, and a watchman, maintains the park and oversees visitor activities.

The lake ecosystem supports diverse wildlife, including Bengal foxes, golden jackals, fishing cats, and numerous water birds such as kingfishers and herons.
