Saint-Gilles - Sint-Gillis

Saint-Gilles covers 2.52 square kilometers with a population of 50,002 residents, featuring narrow streets, multiple markets, and numerous residential buildings.

The area evolved from a small hamlet called Obbrussel in the 11th century to an independent parish in 1216, later developing into a dense urban district.
