Casino Kursaal Ostend

The building was designed in 1953 by architect Léon Stynen to replace the original 1875 casino that German forces destroyed during World War II. Its construction was part of the postwar rebuilding of the Belgian coastal city.

The interior features murals by Belgian painter Paul Delvaux that add artistic depth to the space. These artworks shape how visitors experience the building as they move through it.

The building sits directly on the waterfront promenade and is easily reached on foot from the city center. The spaces are bright and open, making it straightforward to navigate between different areas.
