Residentie Europacentrum, Modern residential skyscraper in Ostend, Belgium.
Residentie Europacentrum is a modern residential tower standing approximately 104 meters tall with 33 floors of steel and glass construction. The building combines apartments with commercial spaces at ground level and five dedicated parking levels serving residents and visitors.
Construction took place from 1967 to 1969 under architect L. Sorée's design, replacing Ostend's former city theater. This project reflected the post-war modernization of the coastal city.
The ground floor contains shops and dining options that bring together locals and visitors. This mix of retail and food establishments creates a social hub where people naturally gather.
The building sits just 80 meters from the beach, making it convenient for visitors exploring both the waterfront and the city center. Ample parking across five dedicated levels simplifies access whether arriving by car or foot.
This building held the title of Belgium's tallest residential structure for many years before Up-site was constructed in Brussels. Its beachfront location made this achievement remarkable, as most tall residential buildings rise in urban centers.
