Dalton Terror, Drop tower ride in Wavre, Belgium

Dalton Terror is a drop tower ride at Walibi Belgium in Wavre where passengers are hoisted upward before plummeting downward in a sudden free fall. The attraction delivers a vertical thrill with rapid descent speeds and a brief moment of weightlessness.

Opened in 1998, the ride was originally the tallest drop tower in Belgium and across the world when it first arrived. It represented a major investment that significantly transformed the park's western-themed section at that time.

The ride's name comes from the Dalton brothers, villains of the Lucky Luke comic series by Morris. Its queue winds past a saloon, the sheriff's office, a jail and a bank built for the Lucky Luke City area opened in 1998. From 2014 the park lost the rights to use the characters, and the Dalton figures on the gondolas were removed.

Visitors must meet height requirements and should secure or remove loose items before boarding the ride. The experience begins with a slow climbing motion followed by a rapid downward release.

The ride's 77-metre tower made it the tallest drop tower in Europe from its 1998 opening until 2002, and it remains the tallest in the Benelux. Its free-fall gondolas reach 106 km/h, matching Goliath at Walibi Holland; only Kondaa (113 km/h) and Fury (106.6 km/h) are faster in the park group.
