Kondaa is a steel roller coaster in Walibi Belgium near Wavre, featuring repeated moments of airtime and a cobra roll that twists without flipping passengers upside down. The track winds through over 1200 meters of drops and curves, linking several hills that keep momentum high throughout the ride.
The ride opened in May 2021 as part of a major park expansion over several years. Its completion brought Belgium its tallest and fastest roller coaster, drawing visitors from across the country.
The African-themed zone around Kondaa is an extension of Exotic World, built on former storage ground behind Dalton Terror. Its station resembles an overgrown jungle temple, with a bust of Kondaa at the entrance; on the central square a skeleton of the creature wraps around a hollow trunk with water flowing from it. The children's ride Kondaala is a miniature version of the coaster.
Two trains with six cars each run simultaneously to reduce waiting times, with each train carrying 24 people. The ride suits experienced riders, as the speed and airtime hills require nerve.
At 50 meters tall (164 feet) and speeds reaching 113 kilometers per hour (70 miles per hour), the coaster holds both height and speed records for the entire Benelux region. This double title draws fans from the Netherlands and Luxembourg seeking such extremes.
