Challenge of Tutankhamon, Interactive dark ride in Walibi Belgium, Wavre, Belgium
The Challenge of Tutankhamon features 130 interactive targets throughout its 705-feet track, where visitors shoot at ancient Egyptian elements from six-passenger vehicles.
Sally Dark Rides designed and opened this attraction in 2003, receiving the Thea Outstanding Achievement award in 2004 for its technical innovations.
The attraction integrates elements from ancient Egyptian mythology, including the god Seth and various guardians protecting the pharaoh's tomb chambers.
The ride accommodates 920 visitors per hour across its 16,880 square feet facility, with digital consoles tracking individual and competitive scores.
Riders must achieve specific score thresholds to access the final treasure chamber, while lower scores redirect participants to alternative exit routes.
