Church of St. Denis

The Church of St. Denis features a prominent tower added in 1100, displaying characteristic round arches and thick stone walls of Romanesque architecture.

Founded by Notker of Liège in 987, the church served as one of seven collegiate institutions forming the secondary clergy in the Prince-bishopric until 1789.

The building transformed from a collegiate church to a parish church in 1803, maintaining its religious function while adapting to new community needs.

Located at Rue Donceel 14, the church welcomes visitors Monday through Saturday from 10:00 to 17:00 and Sundays from 9:30 to 17:00.

Standing at an elevation of 64 meters, this church received recognition as an exceptional heritage property of Wallonia, confirming its architectural significance.
