The Christmas Village spans across Place Saint-Lambert and Place du Marché, featuring 190 wooden chalets selling seasonal products and local specialties.
Established in 1986 with only ten stands under umbrellas, the market has evolved into Belgium's largest Christmas celebration spanning the entire month of December.
Throughout December, international delegations participate as guests of honor, bringing their customs and traditions to enrich the winter festivities.
The market operates from November 29 to December 30, with convenient access to public transportation and additional attractions like an ice rink at Place de la Cathédrale.
The village maintains its own municipal structure complete with a city hall, church, dedicated postman, and village council managing the seasonal community.
