The SONS Museum presents extensive displays of historical and contemporary footwear through multiple exhibition spaces spread across several floors.
Founded in 2009, the museum emerged from William Habraken's collection of over 2700 pairs of shoes gathered during his travels to more than 120 countries.
The museum maintains collections from numerous indigenous groups, including North American tribes and African communities, demonstrating worldwide shoe-making traditions.
Visitors can access guided tours, educational workshops, and interactive displays that demonstrate the evolution of shoe manufacturing techniques through different periods.
The museum features an unusual collection of shoes damaged by Duke the dog, who chewed through approximately 500 pairs of athletic footwear.
