Passerelle La Belle Liégeoise

Passerelle La Belle Liégeoise is a steel bridge with a wooden walkway that stretches 294 meters across the Meuse River, linking Guillemins station to Parc de la Boverie. The structure is 7 meters wide and includes an elevated section on the right bank that passes through the treetops of the park.

Construction was completed in 2016 by Bureau Greisch as part of the Guillemins-Mediacite transportation development project. This work marked an important step in modernizing the connections between central Liège and its public spaces.

The bridge carries the name of a historic Belgian beer brand and has become a symbol of modern movement in the city. You will notice many cyclists and walkers using this route daily, especially during morning and evening commutes.

Access is provided through ramps with a maximum slope of 4 percent, making the bridge easy to use for people with mobility difficulties. The wide surface allows cyclists and pedestrians to move comfortably side by side.

The structure rises to a height of 23 meters, offering an unexpected view of the city and river from above. This height was necessary to allow boats to pass underneath and gives visitors a perspective they rarely experience in the city.
