Bansko

Bansko is a mountain town in southwestern Bulgaria located at the base of Pirin Mountain. The town spreads across varied elevations and combines historic buildings with modern facilities for visitors and residents.

The town developed as a merchant settlement in medieval times and grew into an important trading hub during the Bulgarian Renaissance of the 1800s. This period shaped many of the buildings and traditions visible today.
