Razlog is a town in southwestern Bulgaria situated in a high valley surrounded by mountains. It functions as the administrative center for its municipality and occupies a setting defined by rural landscapes and traditional residential areas.
The town was first documented in the 16th century and has deep roots in the regional history of the Pirin area. It developed as a significant settlement during Ottoman rule and has maintained its local presence through to the present day.
The best way to explore the town is on foot through the streets in and around the center. Its location in a mountain valley means that some routes involve gentle inclines, so comfortable shoes are recommended.
