Belasitsa Nature Park, Nature park in Petrich Municipality, Bulgaria.
The nature park spans 117 square kilometers across the northern slopes of Belasitsa Mountain, bordering North Macedonia and Greece.
The protection of biodiversity in this area began in 1988 with the establishment of Kongur Reserve to safeguard natural forest systems.
The park territory includes nine villages of Petrich Municipality, where local residents maintain traditional agricultural and forestry practices.
Visitors can reach the park through hourly buses from Petrich city, with a visitor center operating Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 16:00.
The park contains 1500 plant species, 120 bird species, and 1500 invertebrates, making it a center for biological diversity.
