Museum of History

Founded in 1911, the museum began operating from a community center and later developed its own building. Wars and political upheaval in the region caused temporary closures, but the institution survived and continued to preserve local history.

The ethnographic section displays traditional clothing, handmade tools, and musical instruments from the local regions, showing how communities dressed and worked in daily life. Walking through, you see old looms, pottery, and personal items that reveal the domestic practices and crafts of past generations.

A special section called the Lapidarium displays ancient stone sculptures, carved capitals, and columns from various historical periods. This collection shows how architectural and religious artworks from earlier eras have been preserved over time.
