Balabanov house, Revival period museum in Plovdiv, Bulgaria.
The Balabanov House spans 546 square meters across two floors, featuring traditional wood-carved ceilings, period furnishings, and ornate architectural elements throughout the structure.
Originally constructed in the 19th century by merchant Hadji Panayot Lampsha, the house was rebuilt in 1979 following its 1935 demolition, using architect Hristo Peev's detailed records.
The museum presents permanent exhibits of modern Bulgarian art on the ground floor while maintaining Revival period interiors on the second level.
The museum operates from Tuesday to Sunday with different schedules for summer (April-October) and winter (November-March) seasons, offering guided tours in multiple languages.
Two perpendicular axes define the spatial layout of both floors, setting this structure apart from other Revival period buildings in the region.
