Kitka

Kitka is a mountain summit in the Zavalska Planina range that rises to approximately 1,180 meters (3,871 feet) above sea level. The peak is characterized by mixed forests and rocky outcrops that create the terrain you encounter as you climb higher.

The summit has served for generations as a reference point for mountain travelers and local shepherds moving through the range. Its position at the intersection of different climate zones made it a natural waypoint on historic pathways.

Local mountain communities maintain seasonal celebrations at the base of Kitka peak, connecting residents with their mountainous environment through traditional gatherings.

You will need sturdy hiking boots and weather-appropriate clothing to handle the changing conditions on the marked trails. Spring and autumn offer the best combination of stable weather and good visibility from the summit area.
