Halifax County

Halifax County is an administrative region in Nova Scotia that spans the Atlantic coastline, encompassing urban centers, rural communities, and natural landscapes throughout its territory. The county was established in 1759 and named after George Montagu-Dunk, Earl of Halifax. It originally covered much of the Nova Scotia peninsula before being incorporated into the Halifax Regional Municipality in the late 20th century.
