Stenen is a small village located in the Rural Municipality of Clayton No. 333 in Saskatchewan, home to around 90 residents. The community sits at the crossroads of Highway 49 and Highway 662, linking it to nearby towns and rural areas.
The village was founded in 1906 with the establishment of a post office, originally known as Eden Valley. The name changed to Stenen in 1912 to reflect the growing settlement's new identity.
The St. Mary's Ukrainian Orthodox Church reflects the deep Ukrainian heritage of the area, with its presence shaping the spiritual life of local residents.
The village is accessible via the two highways connecting to surrounding regions. Visitors should keep in mind that this is a very small community, so services and shops are quite limited.
