Mount Caubvick, Mountain peak in Torngat Mountains, Canada

Mount Caubvick rises 1,652 meters above sea level, forming the natural border between Quebec and Labrador with three distinct ridges leading to its summit.

The first successful climb to the summit occurred in 1973 when American mountaineers Michael Adler and Christopher Goetze completed their ascent via Cadillac Pass.

The Torngat Mountains received their name from Inuit terminology, where Torngarsuak represents the traditional ruler of marine animals in local beliefs.

Access to Mount Caubvick requires transportation by float plane or boat from Nain, followed by extensive hiking through unmarked wilderness terrain.

The mountain holds permanent glaciers and stands as the highest point in mainland Canada east of the Rocky Mountains, with an elevation of 5,420 feet.
