Spectrum, Concert hall in Downtown Montreal, Canada

The Spectrum concert hall operated in a four-story building with a central stage area and wraparound seating for audience members of up to 1200 people.

Opening its doors on October 17, 1952, as the Alouette Theatre, the venue underwent multiple name changes before becoming the Spectrum in 1982.

Many Canadian and international artists performed at the Spectrum, which maintained a cabaret-style setting with tables for guests during performances.

The venue at 318 Sainte-Catherine Street West remained active until August 5, 2007, when Michel Rivard performed the final concert.

The interior decoration featured hundreds of small light bulbs mounted on the walls, creating distinct illumination patterns throughout the performance space.
