Kildonan Park, Public park in northern Winnipeg, Canada

Kildonan Park is a large park along the Red River with gardens, walking paths, and areas for sports and activities. The space includes an outdoor swimming pool, picnic areas, and sports fields that serve visitors throughout the year.

Kildonan Park was established in 1909 on a wooded tract along the Red River in the Rural Municipality of Kildonan, and it formally opened on Victoria Day in 1911. Winnipeg Parks Superintendent George Champion designed the park to incorporate the site's mature elm forest, meadows and river frontage. A remaining 18-acre parcel delayed completion, and a proposal to use the land for permanent exhibition grounds was rejected.

Rainbow Stage is Canada's longest-surviving outdoor theatre, a covered open-air venue seating 2,600 people. Its live theatre events run for about seven weeks, and a 2015 master plan proposed extending that season with additional performances, a farmer's market and car shows.

The park is open daily from early morning until late evening, with picnic areas and barbecue facilities available to visitors. It helps to check which activities and facilities operate seasonally, since the pool and some services vary by time of year.

The Witch's Hut, also called das Hexenhaus, was dedicated in October 1970 as a Centennial Project of the German Community of Manitoba and a gift to the province's children. Architect Hans Peter Langes designed it to illustrate the Brothers Grimm tale Hansel and Gretel, with terracotta relief panels showing the story in sequence and full-scale figures of Hansel, Gretel and the witch.
