The Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre operates two venues, the John Hirsch Mainstage with 785 seats and the Tom Hendry Warehouse for experimental productions.
Founded in 1958 through the merger of Winnipeg Little Theatre and Theatre 77, the venue received its royal designation from Queen Elizabeth II in 2010.
The theatre has produced more than 600 plays featuring Canadian and international actors, including performances by Len Cariou, Graham Greene, and Keanu Reeves.
The box office operates Monday through Saturday from noon to 5 PM, with extended hours until 8 PM on show nights and Sunday openings from noon to 3 PM.
The building exemplifies brutalist architecture and holds the distinction of being Canada's first regional theatre, establishing a network across North America.
