The four-story Millennium Library spans 160,850 square feet with two underground levels, serving 5,000 visitors daily at Donald Street in Manitoba's capital.
The facility opened in 1977 as Centennial Library to mark Winnipeg's centenary, replacing the Carnegie-funded main branch before receiving its current name in 2005.
The Local History Room on the fourth floor maintains reference collections about Manitoba's community history, while Teen Central provides dedicated youth resources.
The library offers computer stations, printing services, study spaces, and an extensive collection of books, audiobooks, video games across multiple floors.
The building features light therapy lamps for visitors and incorporates public art pieces distributed throughout its spaces through Winnipeg's Public Art Program.
