Old château, Château from 1518 in Gerzensee, Switzerland
The old château stands on a 17,000-square-meter estate with gardens, a barn, caretakers' quarters, a swimming pool, and woodlands near a river.
Construction of the château began in 1577 using materials from a demolished local church, with a stone staircase bearing an engraving dated 1620.
The property contains a stone that Druids, a religious order from the first century BC, used for ceremonial purposes in what is now the garden.
The château spans 1,200 square meters of interior space, featuring 10 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms, with recent additions including central heating systems.
From the grounds, visitors can observe Lake Geneva, Mont Blanc, and the Alps, while Roman statue replicas line the surrounding hedge rows.
