Old château, Late Gothic château in Gerzensee, Bern canton, Switzerland

The Altes Schloss Gerzensee is a late Gothic castle built around 1520 at the foot of the former castle hill in the municipality of Gerzensee, canton of Bern. Bernese Schultheiss Jakob von Wattenwyl had it erected on the site of Gerzensee castle, which burned down in 1518. It is listed as a class B Swiss cultural property of regional significance.

Jakob von Wattenwyl, Schultheiss of Bern, had the late Gothic château built around 1520 at the foot of the castle hill, replacing Gerzensee castle, which burned down in 1518. Colonel Balthasar Ambuel bought it in 1652. In 1757 Franz Emanuel Anton von Graffenried sold it to the Augsburger family after moving his seat to the Neues Schloss.

The name Gerzensee is tied to the lake of the same name beside the village, and the château takes its name from the community. The building is listed as a class B Swiss cultural property of regional significance. Among its residents was the namesake uncle of the Bernese poet Rudolf von Tavel.

The Bernese art dealer Jürg Stuker (1914–1988), the best-known owner of the 20th century, lived in the château. Among its many residents was also the namesake uncle of the Bernese poet Rudolf von Tavel. The building stands at the foot of the castle hill where the Gerzensee fortress burned down in 1518.
