Tribschen, Manor house near Lake Lucerne, Switzerland
The Tribschen manor stands near Lake Lucerne, featuring symmetrical window arrangements and an extensive park covering 30,000 square meters of land.
The structure dates from the 15th century, when it belonged to the Herren zu Tripschen family before becoming the Am Rhyn family residence in the 1700s.
Richard Wagner composed several major works during his residence from 1866 to 1872, including Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg and the third act of Siegfried.
The Richard Wagner Museum occupies the ground floor of the manor, while the first floor hosts temporary exhibitions related to the composer.
Opera singer Minnie Hauk owned the manor from 1889 until 1929, before the city of Lucerne acquired the property in 1931.
