Piz Corvatsch, Mountain summit in Grisons, Switzerland

Piz Corvatsch is a 3,451 m summit in the Bernina Range above Lake Sils and Lake Silvaplana. The massif includes Piz Murtèl (3,433 m) and a 3,303 m summit where the cable car station stands. Two glaciers, Vadret dal Murtèl and Vadret dal Corvatsch, lie on its east side.

Philip Mark and Claudio Saratz made the first ascent of Piz Corvatsch on skis in 1898. A cable car and two ski lifts opened in 1963, linking the northern slopes above St. Moritz to the Sils area. The Surlej–Murtèl–Corvatsch large-cabin cableway followed in 1997, and in 2017 the operator merged with Diavolezza Lagalb AG.

The summit station at 3,303 m holds a panorama restaurant and an outdoor terrace, reached by two cable-car sections from Surlej via Murtèl. The massif's name is Romansh, and the surrounding slopes carry Romansh toponyms such as Vadret dal Corvatsch and Lej dals Chöds (Hahnensee), passed by the Hahnensee run down to St. Moritz-Bad.

Two cable car sections run from Surlej (1,864 m) via Murtèl (2,698 m) to the Corvatsch station at 3,297 m, with a panorama restaurant and a viewing terrace at 3,303 m. The summit of Piz Corvatsch is reached from the station by traversing Piz Murtèl. The ski area links Sils Maria and Silvaplana-Surlej and holds 23 pistes totalling 56 km between 1,870 m and 3,290 m.

The summit of Piz Corvatsch is shared between the municipalities of Sils im Engadin/Segl and Samedan, while the 3,303 m cable car station stands between Silvaplana and Samedan. The tripoint of these municipalities lies on Piz Murtèl, the 3,433 m fore-summit crossed on the traverse from the station to the top.
