Chinese Garden

The garden was created as a gift from the city of Kunming to Zürich following technical assistance provided for urban development projects. Its completion marked a partnership between the two cities, demonstrating cultural exchange through landscape design.

The open galleries display hundreds of carved panels depicting Chinese landscapes and still life scenes. These ornamental carvings together form an extensive collection of artistic details that reveal themselves as visitors walk through the space.
