Kurhaus Bergün, Art Nouveau hotel in Bergün Filisur, Switzerland
The Kurhaus Bergün stands at 1,350 meters altitude in the Albula valley, featuring an extensive 230-square-meter dining room with Art Nouveau decorations.
Architect Jost-Franz Huwyler-Boller designed this grand hotel in 1906, incorporating central heating, electric lighting, and modern baths imported from England.
The restored dining room contains one of Switzerland's most complete Art Nouveau interiors, with original windows and wall coverings from the early 1900s.
The hotel offers various accommodation options, from modern en-suite rooms to budget-friendly shared facilities, alongside a restaurant serving fresh daily menus.
A 1949 fire led to the building's closure and subsequent renovation, during which many original furnishings were preserved but a small tower disappeared.
