The Rinderberg is a 2,079 m summit of the Bernese Alps, standing between Gstaad and St. Stephan at the northern end of the range separating the Saane valley from the Simmental, north of the Wildhorn. A cable car station sits near the top at 2,004 m, and in winter the mountain is part of the Gstaad Mountain Rides ski area.

The cable car was built to make this alpine peak accessible for tourism and winter sports. This connection transformed Rinderberg from a remote mountain summit into a visited destination.

The alpine meadow at Rinderberg is used by locals and travelers for traditional mountain walks, reflecting the regional connection to this landscape. Restaurants serve local cheese specialties and regional dishes that represent Swiss culinary traditions.

The cable car runs daily from around 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM, allowing visitors to plan their time on the summit. Sturdy footwear is recommended as paths can be slippery when wet.

The alpine complex combines accommodation and spa at high altitude, which is uncommon for the area. This setup allows visitors to enjoy relaxing treatments after outdoor activities.
