Montreux Casino, Casino and music venue in Montreux, Switzerland

Montreux Casino stands on the Lake Geneva shoreline, its pale facade carrying the red lettering "CASINO de Montreux" above a glass front divided by vertical metal mullions into tall rectangular panes. A red horizontal band runs beneath the glazing, with three rectangular red frames mounted on the lower wall, and a low stone wall separates the building from the water. It is owned by Groupe Lucien Barrière.

The first building opened in 1881 and burned down completely in 1971 during a concert. The fire inspired Deep Purple to write a famous song, and the structure was later rebuilt on the same site.

The building hosts performances during the Montreux Jazz Festival and draws music lovers from around the world. Artists regularly perform in the main concert hall, maintaining the connection between entertainment and live music in town.

The casino stands on the Lake Geneva shoreline, about a kilometre from the Montreux Convention Centre, where the Jazz Festival's headline nights moved in 1993. The building is entered through the glass front facing the lake, under the red "CASINO de Montreux" lettering. Since 2013 the former Mountain Studios space holds the Queen: The Studio Experience exhibit.

The former Mountain Studio inside served as a recording space for many international artists and now houses a permanent exhibition about recordings made by Queen. Visitors can view original equipment and memorabilia from the studio days.
