The Casino Barrière de Montreux stands along Lake Geneva's shore, featuring gaming areas, concert halls, and multiple entertainment spaces across its floors.
The original structure from 1881 burned down in 1971 during a Frank Zappa concert, leading Deep Purple to write their song 'Smoke on the Water'.
The casino serves as a central venue for the Montreux Jazz Festival, hosting performances by international musicians since its establishment in 1967.
The establishment opens daily from 9:00 AM, closing at 3:00 AM Sunday through Wednesday, 4:00 AM on Thursday, and 5:00 AM on Friday and Saturday.
Mountain Studios, formerly located inside the casino, recorded numerous artists including Queen, and now houses the Queen Studio Experience exhibition.
