Montreux Casino

Montreux Casino sits directly on the shore of Lake Geneva and contains gaming rooms and several concert halls spread across multiple floors. The spaces connect through wide staircases and elevators, with large windows overlooking the water.

The first building opened in 1881 and burned down completely in 1971 during a concert. The fire inspired Deep Purple to write a famous song, and the structure was later rebuilt on the same site.

The building hosts performances during the Montreux Jazz Festival and draws music lovers from around the world. Artists regularly perform in the main concert hall, maintaining the connection between entertainment and live music in town.

The doors open every morning at 9 and close at varying hours depending on the night of the week. Visitors should expect dress codes in gaming areas and note that entry points may vary depending on scheduled events.

The former Mountain Studio inside served as a recording space for many international artists and now houses a permanent exhibition about recordings made by Queen. Visitors can view original equipment and memorabilia from the studio days.
