Piz Nurschalas, known in German as Pazolastock, is a 2,739 m summit in the Gotthard Group rising southwest of the Oberalp Pass (2,044 m). Its peak lies on the cantonal border, with Andermatt in Uri on the west side and Tujetsch in Graubünden on the east. A ridge runs south along the border to point 2,742, drops to the Martschallücke (2,684 m) and climbs on to the Rossbodenstock (2,837 m).

This mountain marks a centuries-old border between Uri, one of Switzerland's founding cantons, and Graubünden. The cantonal boundary was established through territorial agreements that have shaped the political organization of the Alpine region.

Mountain huts near this summit serve traditional alpine meals that reflect local food customs from both surrounding regions. These establishments function as social gathering places where hikers experience how mountain communities maintain their daily rhythms and traditions.

Hiking trails from Oberalp Pass lead to the summit with clear markings and varying difficulty levels. Visitors should bring weather-resistant clothing and sturdy hiking boots since mountain conditions can change quickly.

The summit sits on the cantonal border between Uri and Graubünden, and a ridge path runs south along this boundary to point 2742 before dropping to the Martschallücke. From there a trail continues southeast to the Badushütte and Lake Toma. Trenches and walls from a defensive line built after 1895 remain on the north slope.
