Stade de la Tuilière is a football stadium in northern Lausanne, built between 2017 and 2020 to a design by the Biel studios :mlzd and Sollberger Bögli. Its corners are left open, serving as spectator entrances and allowing use for events other than football. The pitch is artificial for now, with natural grass planned once the training centre is built.
Lausanne's city council ran an architecture competition in 2014, won by the Biel firms :mlzd and Sollberger Bögli, and the first stone was laid in summer 2017. The ground opened on 13 November 2020 with a friendly against Neuchâtel Xamax, won 3-0, Armel Zohouri scoring first. The first league match followed on 29 November 2020, a 0-3 loss to BSC Young Boys played behind closed doors; the official inauguration came on 12 September 2021 with a 1-1 draw against FC Sion before 12,150 spectators.
The stadium is home to FC Lausanne-Sport and serves as the main gathering place for football fans in the city. It replaced an older venue and has become central to local sports culture.
The stadium stands in the north of Lausanne, close to the Stade de la Pontaise it replaced, not by the lake.
