Jabee Tower, High-rise building in Stettbach, Dübendorf, Switzerland.
Jabee Tower is a modern high-rise with 32 floors and an elliptical footprint, distinguished by its slanted roofline. The building houses 218 apartments and ground-floor commercial spaces, with a continuous light band that traces the roofline after dark.
Construction took place between March 2017 and March 2019 under architect Mayo Bucher's direction. The project established new standards for residential high-rises in Switzerland and demonstrated innovative approaches to contemporary urban development.
The tower's name blends the architect's Japanese surname with a German word, reflecting its multicultural context. This naming choice connects the building to both its creative origins and its local environment.
The tower sits next to Stettbach railway station, providing quick connections to downtown Zurich. Access is easiest from the north side where a plaza with seating areas welcomes visitors.
Residents can use a dedicated mobile app to report issues and receive notifications about building activities around the clock. This digital system connects dwellers with building operations and creates transparent daily communication.
