Henan Museum, History museum in Jinshui District, China.
The Henan Museum spans over 10,000 square meters and contains more than 130,000 cultural relics from archaeological excavations throughout the region.
Founded in June 1927 and officially opened in October 1928, the museum safeguards collections that were partially transferred to Taiwan during the Anti-Japanese War.
The four permanent exhibitions present bronze art, jade artifacts, and gold wares that reflect the development of Chinese civilization in the central plains.
The museum opens Tuesday through Sunday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, offering free admission to visitors with valid identification documents.
The museum preserves the Jiahu Bone Flute, recognized as the oldest musical instrument discovered in China, among its national treasures.
