Zhengzhou Ferris Wheel, Giant Ferris wheel in Century Amusement Park, Zhengzhou, China

The Zhengzhou Ferris Wheel is a 120-meter tall observation wheel in Century Amusement Park with 48 cabins, each seating 8 passengers. The ride completes one full rotation in about 30 minutes, and the cabins are climate-controlled to keep visitors comfortable year-round.

The wheel opened in 2003 as China's tallest observation wheel at that time and the second highest in the world after London's Eye. Its construction marked a turning point in how the city approached modern entertainment infrastructure.

The wheel became a symbol of how Chinese cities were transforming their entertainment spaces and how people's leisure habits shifted in the early 2000s. It reflects the city's desire to offer modern attractions that brought communities together for recreation.

The cabins operate year-round, giving visitors a chance to see the city from high above at a comfortable pace. Visit on clear days for the best views, and allow yourself time to enjoy the slow rotation without feeling rushed.

The structure features illuminated star-shaped spokes that create a distinctive nighttime pattern above the park. This glowing design makes the wheel a notable landmark after dark, especially for those viewing it from across the city.
